Prior to working in these capacities, Dr. Kwon served as medical director of the partial hospitalization programs at Homewood Hospital Center and North Charles General Hospital, both in Baltimore. He also spent time teaching psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, where he completed a psychiatric residency at the Henry Phipps Psychiatric Clinic, which is the Department of Psychiatry of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Kwon did a residency in general surgery and an internship at Washington Hospital Center as well. His other previous posts as a physician include Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, J.L. Kernan Hospital, Church Home and Hospital in Baltimore, Taylor Manor Hospital in Ellicott City, Md., MedStar Harbor Hospital (as psychiatrist in charge) and University Specialty Hospital as psychiatric consultant and management member of EHP Behavioral Services, LLC, among others.
Dr. Kwon remains current in the evolving medical field through affiliations with the American Psychiatric Association (also as Fellow), the American Medical Association, the American Neuropsychiatric Association, the Korean American Medical Association, the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (also certified in Psychopharmacology), the Maryland Psychiatric Society, and the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association.
