From 2001 to 2012, he worked as an associate research scientist with Columbia University Medical Center before becoming a resident in surgery with Morristown Medical Center in 2012. He is credited with inventing a tumor model used to investigate the effects of antitumor agents on large, metastatic tumors. In addition, he was involved in the discovery of the regression of established tumors and metastases by a potent antiangiogenic agent. Dr. Huang holds multiple patents for tumor regression with VEGF Inhibitors, among other discoveries.
A recognized authority in the field of medicine and science, Dr. Huang has contributed articles to a variety of professional journals. He is the recipient of the Aventis Young Investigator Award from the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the Clinical Investigator Award from the National Cancer Institute.
