He also became a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians. Further, Dr. Friedman was a captain in the U.S. Army stationed in Okinawa, Japan from 1956 to 1968.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Friedman was featured in three volumes of Who's Who in America, two volumes of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and one volume of Who's Who in the East.
