    BROOKLYN, NY, October 20, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Colette Mazzucelli has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After more than a decade of teaching at New York University, Dr. Mazzucelli was recently selected by CEO Tony Sgro of EdVenture Partners to enter her Conflict Resolution and Radicalization and Religion graduate seminars in successive Peer to Peer (P2P) global competitions featuring more than fifty (50) universities worldwide during AY 2015-16. During each competition New York University P2P Teams were selected to present their campaigns, #7 Train Stop and Voices of New York_RESOLVE, at the US Department of State in the 'marketplace of ideas' attended by intelligence, policy, and technology colleagues. On September 21, 2016, the members of the NYU P2P Teams were chosen to represent the United States in the Facebook P2P Global Showcase Event during the United Nations General Assembly. In 2014, Dr. Mazzucelli was appointed on part-time faculty in the Graduate School of Arts and Science at New York University as a Full Professor in the Department of International Relations. She has more than 20 years' experience in technology-mediated learning, serves as a Digital Learning Innovator in LIU Global on Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus, as well as a Research Mentor and Professor in the Pioneer Academics Global Research Program. Each of these roles allows her to examine issues on a global scale and to pass her knowledge on to future generations. Dr. Mazzucelli's teaching, research, and service focus on advocating for world peace, civil society, and social change.

As a Team Leader, Digital Learning and Strategic Innovation, Warden Exchange (WE), Prison Fellowship, Dr. Mazzucelli is responsible to operationalize WE University in anticipation of the Frontline WebEx Videoconference Series launch in 2017 engaging prison reform experts in the US, Canada, the UK, and Sweden as part of Prison Fellowship, the world's largest outreach to prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families, founded in 1976 by former White House Special Counsel to President Richard M. Nixon, Charles W. "Chuck" Colson, recipient of the Templeton Prize in 1993.

Dr. Mazzucelli prepared for her career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy with a minor in Modern Languages, magna cum laude, from the University of Scranton in 1983. After studying in Fribourg, Switzerland on an Institute of International Education (IIE) Swiss Universities Grant, 1984-85, Dr. Mazzucelli earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 1987, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Georgetown University in 1996. After a decade of teaching, Dr. Mazzucelli returned to Teachers College Columbia University to earn a Master of Education in International Humanitarian Issues within the Department of International and Transcultural Studies Program during 2011.

Dr. Mazzucelli gained experience in her field through her previous teaching and administrative positions, which include appointments as Assistant Professor of History and Political Science at Molloy College, Program Development Associate at Teachers College Columbia University, Term Faculty Member in Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University, and Assistant Professor of Political Science at Arcadia University as well as Founding Director of the International Peace and Conflict Resolution MA Program.

In addition to her myriad accomplishments as an educator, Dr. Mazzucelli authored and edited several works including France and Germany at Maastricht: Politics and Negotiations to Create the European Union, Mapping Transatlantic Futures: German-American Relations in a Global World, Leadership in the Big Bangs of European Integration, Ethics and Global Politics: The Active Learning Sourcebook, and The Evolution of an International Actor: Western Europe's New Assertiveness. For years, she has contributed chapters to edited volumes and articles to professional journals.

Dr. Mazzucelli's extensive work in her profession has been rewarded with several accolades including the Monsignor Robert Sheerhan Award for Servant Leadership and Undergraduate Teaching Excellence at Seton Hall University, the NYU SPS Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award, the Council on Foreign Relations and Foreign Affairs Faculty Spotlight Profile, and the International Educator of the Year Award. She has been named a Pi Gamma Mu Scholar, a Rotary Graduate Ambassadorial Fellow, a Fulbright Scholar, a Jean Monnet Council Fellow, a Fellow of the European Commission, a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow, and a Fellow of the 21st Century Trust. Furthermore, Dr. Mazzucelli has been featured in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.

Notably, Dr. Mazzucelli has been a Founding Cabinet Member of the World Peace and Diplomacy Forum, a Member of the UN Chronicle's Advisory Group, and a Public Affairs Speaker at the Molloy Institute for Lifelong Learning. She remains active in her industry through membership in the American Council on Germany, the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, and the Women's Foreign Policy Group.
