The president of his own consulting firm in Kent, Conn., for the last 16 years, Mr. Palumbo is a marketing executive who is supported by an expertise that dates back more than 30 years. Over the course of his career, he was the director of product marketing for Cyberian Outpost, special projects manager and group product manager for Global Computer Supplies, marketing director for Flaghouse, and adjunct professor at St. John's University. Having started his career in the financial field as a mortgage clerk for Salomon Brothers and mutual fund administrator for the Bank of New York Co., Mr. Palumbo moved into product marketing as a result of his creative mind and desire to implement his innovative ideas in a setting where they would be most impactful. In recognition of professional excellence, he was the recipient of the ECHO Academy Direct Marketing Arts and Sciences Award, and he was named an Annette Brodsky Scholar. Additionally, he was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the Media and Communication, and Who's Who in the World.
In support of his career aspirations, Mr. Palumbo first invested his efforts in his education. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, which he earned in 1986, and an MBA in marketing management, achieved in 1990. He has continued to develop his skills and expertise through his memberships and affiliations with prominent industry organizations. He was a member of Dr. Park Avenue, for which he served on the board of directors from 2010 to 2012, the Direct Marketing Club of New York, and the National Honor Society of Collegiate Schools of Business. Mr. Palumbo has also taken on professional opportunities outside of his daily responsibilities. He was a guest lecturer at Cornell University, a U.S. delegate for the Cornell University Asia Pacific Leadership Conference, chair of the ambassador committee of the Cornell University Council, and guest lecturer of marketing techniques at Sheffield Halleron University in England.
