A sociologist and anthropologist, he holds two honorary doctorates: one from Sorbonne University and the other from Ecoles des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. His first role in the field was as a counselor for youth and education for the Ministry of Youth and Education in Angouleme, France. Two years later, Mr. Pavageau began in his role with the mission for the Ministry of Cooperative in Madagascar, where he still remains today. Since 1975, he has also held the roles of professor emeritus, assistant, and conference master at Perpignan University. Some of the other positions he has held throughout his career include assistant professor for the University of Madagascar, and consultant and researcher for the United Nations Educational, the Center of Social Ethnology in Paris, and the International Association for Cooperative Research.
A member of the International Association of Sociology of the French Language, Mr. Pavageau has contributed to numerous creative works throughout his career, including the book "Jeunes Paysans Sans Terres," the research paper, "L'Autre Mexique: Culture Indienne et Experience de la Democratie," and other professional publications. He has also had the privilege of obtaining patents regarding radio transmission in Madagascar and research regarding protection and management in French Polynesia. During the course of his lengthy career, he has been recognized many times, including in Who's Who in the World, where he has been featured 11 times.
