Wright attended Newark School of Fine & Industrial Arts, and studied via the Brooklyn Museum, winning the Max Beckman International Scholarship and at Cooper Union in Manhattan. As a master artist, he is noted for his teachings working with students and professional artists. Wright has also been the master artist/instructor at Weir Farm National Historical Site for the National Park Service since 2009.
A sterling example of skill in his field, Mr. Wright has painted and taught all over the world. In addition to working in the United States, he has painted in France, Italy, Ireland, England, Austria, Central and South America, and China. Throughout his career, his work has been included in hundreds of collections in institutions, such as the Newark Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the National Art Museum of Sport, and in corporate and private collections.
