YONKERS, NY, February 13, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Monsignor Robert J. Batule has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Msgr. Batule received an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston, New York in 1980. He then attended the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Lloyd Harbor, New York and was awarded the Master of Divinity Degree in 1985. That same year, he was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in New York.
While carrying out his duties as a parish priest, Msgr. Batule obtained a Master of Arts degree in Sociology (summa cum laude) in 1990 from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. In 1996, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Theology (summa cum laude) from Saint John's University in New York.
He has served as a parochial vicar in the following assignments: Saint Boniface (Elmont, New York); Saint Martha (Uniondale, New York) and Corpus Christi (Mineola, New York). He served as the Administrator of Corpus Christi from 2001 until 2002.
In 2002, he was appointed the Delegate for Pastoral Intervention for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. In 2003, papal honors with the title of Monsignor were conferred on him. The next year (2004), he was named the Pastor of Holy Family RC Church in Hicksville, New York. In 2006, he was assigned to further studies in Rome and two years later (2008), he received the License in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas.
From 2008 until 2012, Msgr. Batule taught dogmatic theology at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Lloyd Harbor, New York. From 2012 until 2013, he was on the faculty of Saint Joseph Seminary in Yonkers, New York where he continued to teach dogmatic theology. From 2013 until 2016, Msgr. Batule was Pastor of Corpus Christi RC Church in Mineola, New York. In 2016, he returned to the faculty of St. Joseph Seminary in Yonkers, New York to teach dogmatic theology. At the same time, he was appointed Associate Academic Dean.
Msgr. Batule belongs to the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars, the Society of Catholic Social Scientists and the National Association of Scholars. He has published articles, essays and homilies in a number of journals and magazines. He has also been a columnist for several Catholic newspapers.
Besides his pastoral and academic achievements, he was the Chairman of the Board for the Catholic Youth Organization in the Diocese of Rockville Centre from 1997 to 2000.
