Dr. Bonnie Ring has been licensed as a psychologist in the state of California since 1974. Backed by more than four decades of professional experience and a strong educational foundation, she is able to offer services in psychotherapy and organizational psychology from offices in Berkeley and Moss Beach. Bonnie Ring studied at Vassar College and New York University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts from NYU in 1962. She went on to earn both a Master of Education and a Doctor of Education degree from Boston University in 1964 and 1972, respectively.
Aside from her work in psychology, the Rev. Dr. Ring is an ordained Episcopal Priest who holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, where she taught Pastoral Theology as adjunct faculty for several years. She was ordained a Priest in 1992 and has worked extensively as a Spiritual Director and Retreat Leader at St. George's College, Jerusalem and throughout California and Canada. Early in her career, the Rev. Dr. Ring worked at three University of California campuses in a variety of roles including research assistant, training associate, intern program coordinator, counseling psychologist and associate director of clinical services. She served as associate dean of the California College of Podiatric Medicine before becoming president of Bonnie Ring, Ed.D., a Psychological Corporation based in San Francisco from 1977 to 1986. During that time, she also worked as a member of the training staff of the American Management Association's Executive Effectiveness Seminar. Additionally, she hosted a daily psychological call-in talk show for KFSO radio station in San Francisco.
The Rev. Dr. Ring's professional affiliations include Spiritual Directors International, the National Register of Health Service Providers, the California Psychological Association and Pi Lambda Theta, an educational honorary society. Her accomplishments have been featured in the 25th edition of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and the 25th and 27th editions of Who's Who in the World. She has also appeared in multiple editions of Who's Who in America.
