With more than 30 years' experience in the performing arts, Mr. Sullivan currently serves as a freelance arts consultant in the La Crosse, Wis. area. An active member of the theater community since childhood, he pursued roles in the field in '80s and '90s as a play producer for the Great River Steamboat Co., in La Crosse, stage manager for the La Crosse Community Theatre, managing director of the Fairbanks Shakespeare Theater in Alaska, and assistant director of Duluth Playhouse in Minnesota.
Mr. Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin; he also studied at Brooklyn College under Stephen Langley, his mentor, who passed away in 1997. Notably, he wrote two plays in 1996 and 1997, respectively: "Murder on the Mississippi" and "The Cabaret Killer." Additionally, Mr. Sullivan has been celebrated on many occasions for his work in the field of theater production. Since the mid-2000s, he has been included in three editions of Who's Who in the World and the 59th through 64th volumes of Who's Who in America. He was also awarded the Pacey Beers Scholarship from the University of Wisconsin's theater department.
