Between 1982 and 1994, Dr. Brignoli, along with A. Poglio, formulated and improved innovative biotechnological products for environmental depollution and more than 70 herbal and parapharmaceutical products and food integrators of wide success. In his 30-year career Dr. Brignoli has formulated and improved more than 100 innovative products and new technologies for environmental remediation, water treatment, energy saving, and integrated agriculture.
Additionally, he has taught as Professor in charge of chemistry, biochemistry and ecology at various universities in Italy and Switzerland. Since 2013 he has taught bioremediation of polluted sites and ecosystems at the University of Siena, Centre of Geotechnologies.
As alumnus of the State University of Pavia, Dr. Brignoli holds a Doctor of Natural Sciences. He is also certified through the National Register of Natural Scientists, the National Register of Biotechnologists, and the European Network of Environmental Professionals. His professional affiliations include the Italian Association of Biotechnologists, the Italian Association of Naturalists, the European Federation of Biotechnology, the American Chemical Society, and the New York Academy of Sciences. Throughout his career, he has been recognized many times for his work in the field, including being named an honorary academic member of the Medicea International Academy in Florence. Dr. Brignoli has also been awarded patents for the procedure for the treatment of particulates, a procedure for the remediation of soils contaminated by persistent pollutants, and a method for decontaminating soil, among others.
