Recognized for almost three decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Mr. Siblet parlays his knowledge into his current role with the National Museum of Natural History, where he has served as the director of natural heritage services since 2007 and director of expertise since 2017. Before entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned a degree in public law from the University of Paris II. Many years later, Mr. Siblet started in the field as the head of nature protection services for the Regional Direction of Environment in Paris, where he stayed from 1988 until 2007. During this time, he went back to school, attending Dijon University for a degree in bird census methods.
A shining example of skill in his field, Mr. Siblet affiliates himself with the WPCA of the International Union for Nature Conservancy. He has won many awards for his work throughout his notable and lengthy career, including the National Merit Order Medal from the French Republic President in 1997 for the grade of Chevalier and 2017 for the grade of Officer. Additionally, he has had the honor of being named to Who's Who in the World.
During his spare time, Mr. Siblet enjoys giving back to his community through ANVL, which is a natural history association in France, as well as the French Society of Ornithological Studies, where he served as general secretary from 2009 until 2014. Looking forward, Mr. Siblet intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. He also plans on getting more into bird watching, which he loves to do as a hobby.
