A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Washington State University and Faulkner State Community College, Ms. Byrd holds an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences, and a Masters in Special Education (Collaborative K-6). Though her career has just started and is still on the rise, she has contributed to a number of creative works, including "Embedded Dreams," which was released in 1997, and "A Prism of Thoughts." Throughout her career, she has also lent her expertise to poetry anthologies.
In addition to her rising status in the literary landscape, she has been recognized numerous times for her professional accomplishments. In 1997, she earned the Editor's Choice Award through the National Library of Poetry. Since 2002, Ms. Byrd has also had the honor of being featured in one edition of Who's Who in the World, three editions of Who's Who in America, and five editions of Who's Who of American Women.
