Since 2002, he has served as Chief of Surgery for the large VA Northern California Health Care System, and Professor of Clinical Surgery at U.C. Davis, in California.
A graduate of such prestigious institutions as Harvard and Yale, Dr. Hundahl holds a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry, as well as an MD. His professional affiliations have included the American College of Surgeons, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Pacific Coast Surgical Association, the International Gastric Cancer Association, and numerous others. Throughout his career, he has authored or co-authored over 60 journal articles and 18 book chapters.
