Dr. Hammad lends his services to Alexandria University as a professor - a position he has held since 2000. Over the years, he has worked in a number of positions for Alexandria University, King Saud University, and the University of Minnesota, including instructor, clinical assistant professor, assistant professor, associate professor, and Professor and Director of Graduate Prosthodontics. He is the first and only elected Dean of the School of Dentistry, Alexandria University, 2011-2014. He is a Member of the Scientific Committee for Promotion to associate professor and professor ranks by the Supreme Council of Universities (2013-present).
A graduate of Alexandria University, the University of Minnesota and Boston University, Dr. Hammad holds a Bachelor of Dental Science, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Science. In order to remain active and engaged within the field, he affiliates himself with the Egyptian Dental Association, where he is a fellow, as well as the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the International Team for Implantology, the Alexandria Dental Society, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry. Formerly, he has been associated with the New York Academy of Sciences, the Association for the Advancement of Science and the Saudi Dental Society, as well as many others.
Throughout his many years in his respective vocation, he has contributed to a number of creative works, including the Minnesota Dental Association, where he presented on such topics as ceramometal collarless crowns, and precision attachements in fixed prosthodontics, and the Saudi International Dental Conference, where he presented research on the effect of opaque surface texture on the color of PFM restorations. Notably, Dr. Hammad has been recognized many times for his professional accomplishments.
