Having the pleasure to create and lead teams of professionals throughout his career in an effort to produce medical products for patients in need, Dr. Olderman is a retired medical device company executive of more than 40 years who officially retired in 2013. Paving the way since 1961 for new and improved technology that truly serves a purpose and makes an impact on so many lives, the success of these products, which were designed for the kidney, respiratory issues, heart by-passes, and many other problems, have also been instrumental in the success of his career, as well as the many engineers and scientists that he has worked with along the way.
Immediately after completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Rensselaer Poly Institute in 1958, Dr. Olderman went to work as a Research Chemist for National Register Company in Dayton, Ohio until 1961. He then held several management positions for Johnson and Johnson for nearly 18 years during which time he completed an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Seton Hall University in 1972 and served as Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors for the company's Surgikos Division.
From 1978 -1996, Dr. Olderman served as VP of Research and Development for Baxter Pharmaseal and C. R. Bard before doing consulting work for R.F. Caffrey and Associates, and serving as VP of Research, Development and Commercialization and on the Board of Directors for Quick-Med Technologies, Inc.
Dr. Olderman served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956. A fellow of the American Institute of Chemists and a member of the Association of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, International Nonwoven Fabrics Association where he also served on the Board of Directors and as the industry's representative in the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society of Artificial International Organs. Furthermore, he was the recipient of a Robert Wood Johnson Medal granted by Johnson & Johnson in 1969.
Beyond his impressive professional accolades, Dr. Olderman has also been included in various editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. Married to Myrna Ruth Schwartz since 1958, Dr. Olderman and she share three children.
