Joseph William Albright Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Albright is a logistics and material expert who served to the rank of colonel with the ordnance branch of the U.S. Army, safeguarding vital supplies for the armed forces for 28 years. After retiring from the active service in 2004, he served as a civilian director for situational awareness with the deputy undersecretary of the Army in business transformation, and started a management consultancy. Since 2012, Mr. Albright has served as vice-president of the North American facilities operations for the schools segments of Sodexo, a management firm with a focus on quality of life.

Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Herman LeRoy and Catherine Regina Albright in 1954, Mr. Albright attended the University of Dayton and was commissioned as a second lieutenant with the U.S. Army in 1976. He was assigned to the 9th Ordnance Company in Germany through the late '70s and advanced to the rank of operations officer. In 1980, Mr. Albright was tapped as a research engineer and as the chief, integrated logistic support office to work with the large caliber weapon system laboratory. He went on to serve with the 3rd Ordnance Battalion of the 59th Ordnance Brigade as a material officer, and in 1985, he was appointed Department of Army coordinator for ammunition logistics.

Mr. Albright continued to climb the ranks of the Army, and in 1994, he was deployed as commander of the Milan Army Ammunition Plant in Tennessee. He was appointed to Army headquarters in 1998, and in 2000, Mr. Albright was named industrial operations project chief. He served from 2002 to 2004 as a senior logistics analyst before retiring from active service, with the rank of colonel. For his many years of dedication, Mr. Albright was honored with the Legion of Merit, a Meritorious Service Medal with six awards, an Army Commendation Medal with two awards, an Army Achievement medal, a 1976 Distinguished Military Graduate honor, a 1980 Distinguished Graduate honor of the Ordnance Officer Advanced Course, and a 1996 Distinguished Service Medal from the Tennessee National Guard.

While serving with the armed forces, Mr. Albright completed two Master's degrees, one with the U.S. Army War College in strategic studies and another with the University of Tennessee in industrial engineering. In 2008, he founded Performance Based Solutions, and in 2012, he joined Sodexo. Additionally, Mr. Albright has been a commanding presence in civic and philanthropic circles, serving as chairman of the Organizations of Hope, the Milan Tennessee Prevention Coalition, and the Milan Tennessee Planning Commission. He is a member of numerous honorable societies, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Western Tennessee, the Army War College Foundation, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Ford's Theatre Foundation, and Pi Sigma Tau.

Notably, Mr. Albright is a charter member of the Museum of the American Revolution and the World War II Museum, and a founding member of the Museum of the U.S. Army. Mr. Albright continues to improve himself, and is currently performing coursework with the University of Phoenix.

For his invaluable contributions to the readiness of the U.S. armed forces, Mr. Albright was selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, and the 1986 to 1987 volume of Who's Who in the East. He is married to Iris J. Evans, with whom he had four children: Andrea Lyn, Jason Michael, James Darrell Evans, and Marie Elizabeth Evans. Mr. Albright now enjoys the company of his grandchildren, Hayden, Theresa, Jason, Chase, Gabrielle, and Garrett, as well as reading, gardening, landscaping, and restoring antique furniture. He has adopted two additional family members, Oksana Nelson and Beth Hood.
