After many years of hard undergraduate and graduate work, Dr. Zhang became an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of North Georgia, where he began in 2016. When he started in the field, he worked with West Virginia University as a PhD and teaching assistant, serving as an instructor of calculus one and two, as well as differential equations. Subsequently, he joined the University of West Georgia as an instructor before taking on his current role at the University of North Georgia.
A graduate of West Virginia University and South China Normal University, Dr. Zhang holds a Master of Science and a PhD in Mathematics. He was inspired to pursue a career in academia due to his parents, both of whom are professors as well. In the near future, Dr. Zhang intends to continue teaching at the University of North Georgia and improve upon his already amazing teaching skills.
