Graduating from Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology with a PhD in 1986 and Warsaw University with a Master of Science in 1979, Dr. Rajkowska served as a professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1994. She is a member of the International Brain Research Organization, the CINP, the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, the Society of Neuroscience, and the Society of Biological Psychiatry. Dr. Rajkowska has acted as a reviewer for journals in neuroscience and biological psychiatry, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Austin Medical Sciences. She has also been a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Biological Psychiatry.
Dr. Rajkowska has been awarded with more than $10,000,000 in grants for her research. Some of these grants were awarded to her by the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Alliance for Research in Schizophrenia and Depression. She has been honored for her excellence in research by the University of Mississippi Medical Center with Silver, Gold, and Platinum Awards.
