Her boutique brokerage firm is well-known for its solid reputation throughout the Brooklyn Heights and Upper West Side area of Manhattan, one that has been built on trust and integrity.
Throughout Ms. Markgraf's many years in the business, she has also consulted for the Real Estate Counseling Group of Connecticut and has spent time as an adjunct professor at the Real Estate Institute and Real Estate Education Centers.
Ms. Markgraf's experience in education stems from her earlier years as a high school teacher in Wisconsin and Connecticut. She later became an office manager for a local business for several years and served in various other capacities, including as president of Tuff Transport, Inc. from 1977 to 2000 before moving into real estate. A licensed teacher and real estate broker, Ms. Markgraf also holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin.
To stay abreast in her field, Ms. Markgraf remains active as a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. She is also a member of the Yeats Society of New York and the Brooklyn Heights Association and is past president of the Brownstone Republican Club. Ms. Markgraf was a 1998 and 2000 candidate for the 12th Congressional District in Brooklyn and a 2002 conservative candidate of the 52nd State Assembly District.
