During her tenure in education, Ms. Paschal has been honored twice with a Teacher of the Year Award in 2000 and 2014.
SAN ANGELO, TX, November 07, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Saundra Paschal with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Paschal celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A high school mathematics teacher Ms. Paschal entered into her 38th academic school year in 2017. Teaching for San Angelo Independent School District at Lake View High School, she originally became involved in education upon first working as a teacher's aide. Teaching honors algebra II and precalculus courses to junior and seniors at her school, she has also been known to be very active by coaching the mathematic team and serving as a coordinator for the University Interscholastic League at her high school. Furthermore, Ms. Paschal participates on the curriculum writing team for the district. In her free time, she also takes photographs of the high school sports teams for yearbook selection and other events.
During her tenure in education, Ms. Paschal has been honored twice with a Teacher of the Year Award in 2000 and 2014, and has been previously listed in the Top 12 Educators of the Year Calendar. She attributes her success to her ability to teach students in a way in which the material resonates, and by the support, she has received over the years by fellow teachers. One of the biggest blessings she has received in all of her years of teaching, however, has been the opportunity to teach alongside some of her former students. For example, the football coach and his entire staff were all former students of Ms. Paschal in 2008.
Before embarking on her professional pursuits, Ms. Paschal completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Angelo State University in 1980. A longtime member of the Mathematics and Science Coaches Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, she also enjoys volunteering her time outside of school, including at her local church, where she is known for playing the organ and piano, as well as for various local charitable organizations close to her heart.
Recognized with a Worldwide Lifetime Achievement Award from 2012 to 2013, Ms. Paschal has been named VIP of the Year from 2011 to 2012. Looking towards the future, Ms. Paschal hopes to continue teaching for a few more years so that she can continue sharing her knowledge with students as well as serve as a mentor to other teachers.
