Throughout his career, he has lent his wide-ranging expertise to such institutions as Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Medicine, the U.S. Army TACOM Research Lab, and Texas Instruments.
A graduate of the University of Birmingham in England, as well as Rice University, Dr. Kehtarnavaz holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Communication Engineering, and a Master of Science and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In order to remain active and engaged among his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the IEEE Societies of Signal Processing, Consumer Electronics, and Engineering in Medicine and Biology. Utilizing his expertise in various aspects of the field, he has authored and co-authored 10 books, and more than 350 papers, manuals, and editorials.
An expert in his field, Dr. Kehtarnavaz has been awarded many times for his professional accomplishments, including a National Excellence Recognition Award from the Space Foundation, an Outstanding Achievement Award from Texas A&M University, a Professional Leadership Award from IEEE-USA, an Outstanding Engineering Educator Award from IEEE Region 5, and several outstanding IEEE volunteer awards. Over the years, he has also had the honor of being features in one edition of Who's Who is Science and Engineering, and two editions of Who's Who is America. As he looks towards the future, Dr. Kehtarnavaz intends to continue to honing his specialties in the field, while experiencing the continued growth of his career.
