With more than 10 years of experience in academia, Dr. Ravina is a visiting assistant professor of finance with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. From 2008 until 2017, she served as an assistant professor of finance and economics at Columbia Business School. She has also been a visiting scholar with the New York Federal Reserve Bank in 2012 and with Harvard Business School in 2010. Earlier in her career, she was an assistant professor of finance at the New York University Stern School of Business.
Dr. Ravina began her career with a BA in Economics from the University of Torino, Italy before traveling to the United States to earn an MA and PhD in Economics from Northwestern University. She is affiliated with the American Finance Association and the American Economic Association. She has contributed to numerous articles in professional journals and been recognized many times for her work in the field. She was the recipient of the Sandell Center for retirement Grant in 2014. In the near future, Dr. Ravina plans to expand upon her research and grow within the context of her position.
