Dr. Crow is a tenured full professor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
Dr. Crow has been teaching since 1956. She was the founding director of the Faculty Development Resource Center at UTA, one of the first five in the country devoted to improving instruction at the university level. She also served as the President of the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education, which included faculty leaders and instructional development centers at colleges and universities. She also served as an interim Dean, of the College of Education, UTA.
Dr. Crow is the most highly awarded faculty member from the field of Education in the entire UT System. Her awards include, Inaugural Selection as one of the Top twelve professors in the UT System Academy of Distinguish Teachers and the Piper Professor of Texas. She created the Program for Gifted Education and the School Counseling Programs at UTA.
Prior to working in higher education, Dr. Crow was a teacher in the Fort Worth and Tyler, Texas public schools. She was also a counselor for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Texas public schools. She was Miss Mary Lynn on the Romper Room International TV Kindergarten.
Dr. Crow is one of the co-authors of the book "The Little Orange Book: Short Lessons in Excellent Teaching", published by the University of Texas Press. She is also the author of 68 scholarly articles in professional journals during her career.
Dr. Crow is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a longtime member of the American Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association and Fort Worth Area Psychological Association. She has severed her local community by serving on the Board of Directors and President of the Dispute Resolution Services of Tarrant County. She was on the Board of Directors, the Vice President and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Tarrant County Mental Health Association.
Dr. Crow has been highlighted in Who's who among Human Service Professionals, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who of American Woman.
