Dr. Kim has served as the director of the Work Environment Research Bureau of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency since 1991.

Prior to obtaining this position, he worked with Soonchunhyang Medical College from 1988 to 1991. He has participated in the publication of more than 120 research paper and academic seminars, including works entitled "prediction of the toxicity of dimethylformamide, methyl ethyl ketone, and toluene mixtures by QSAR modeling."
Dr. Kim conducted international joint research with Monglian National Medical University (Genetic Research, 1999-2002) and Japan Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute (Dioxin Research, 2001-2004).
An expert in industrial hygiene and toxicology, Dr. Kim holds a PhD in biochemistry and is affiliated of numerous professional organizations. He is a member the Korean Industrial Hygiene Association, the Korean and Asian Societies of Toxicology, and the Korean Academic Society of Occupational Health Nursing. His contributions have earned recognitions several times, including winning Best Paper Awards at the Korea-Japan-China Joint Conference on Occupational Health in 2009, as well as from the Korean Industrial Hygiene Association in 2014. Looking toward the future, Dr. Kim intends to experience the continued success of his research.
