Furthermore, Dr. Tanaka is a representative and certified member of the Japanese Regenerative Medicine Association, as well as director of the Japanese Foot Care Society since 2015.
In light of her contributions, Dr. Tanaka has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her career. Her honors include Best Paper of the Year by Seikai in 2007, the Plastic Surgery Research Effort Award in 2008, and the Best Research Award from Japanese Society of Wound Healing in 2012. She was presented with the Next Generation World Leading Researchers Award from 2011 to 2014, the Best Poster Award from the Diabetic Limb Salvage Conference in 2014, and the Medical Research Encouragement Prize from the Japan Medical Association in 2016.
