Prior to establishing Market Technologies, Mr. Mendelsohn gained much experience in hospital administration, beginning his career as a research assistant for the Massachusetts General Hospital from 1969 to 1971. He followed this opportunity by holding the roles of regional health planner with the Comprehensive Health Planning Council from 1973 and 1974, an administrative resident for the New England Hospital in 1976, and management specialist for the Humana Hospital Bennett from 1977 to 1978. His final position in this field was as an assistant executive director at Humana Women's Hospital from 1978 to 1980.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Mendelsohn pursued an education at Carnegie Mellon University, earning a Bachelor of Science in administration and management science from the Tepper School of Business in 1969. He continued his studies in 1973, receiving a Master of Social Work at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Mr. Mendelsohn concluded his academic efforts at Boston University, graduating with a Master of Business Administration with Honors in 1977.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Mendelsohn has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles.
