Most recently, he served as the engineering director for PHL, Inc. between 2004 and 2007, where he was first hired as a research and development manager in 1976, working his way up into the roles of vice president of operations and director of engineering. He also spent two years as a research and development engineer for the fire and smoke division with Perfect Air Control, Inc. between 2003 and 2004.
Mr. McNutt first studied at Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture between 1965 and 1968, and Temple University between 1978 and 1981. He later completed a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering at Shelbourne University in 1986 and is certified in vocational education and as a manufacturing engineer. Prior to earning his degrees, Mr. McNutt was employed as a diemaker for Custom Tool Company, as a toolmaker for Penn Engineering, machine shop manager and research and development engineer for Inertial Motors Corporation, and machinery design engineer for Philadelphia Rivet Company.
The author of "Sacred Waters Honor Journey," among numerous other publications in his area of expertise, Mr. McNutt founded the "Gateway Tidal River Journal" in 2007. Long affiliated as a member of the American Society of Heating and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a member of the code review committee and fire-smoke engineering committee with the International Air Movement and Control Association, he is also an executive vice president of the Delaware Water Study Citizens Group for Sound Resource Management and lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Mr. McNutt has served on multiple other committees throughout the course of his career as well, including the planning commission technical advisory committee of Cape May County, the Plumstead Township Parks and Recreation Commission, and the Environmental Political Action Committee.
Recognized with a Hollywood Technology Achievement Award in 1973, Mr. McNutt has been cited in countless editions of Who's Who over the past three decades, including in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Business and Who's Who in the World.
