President of Milner Street, Inc., a private investment firm located in Pasadena, CA, since 1980, Mr. Losh is a talented and driven engineer who has been in the field now for many years. During the Korean War, he served at Rome Air Development Center as a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Working for some of the best in the industry, beginning with RCA when he first entered the workforce, he also worked for TRW in Los Angeles, Lockheed California Company in Burbank, and Xerox Special Information Systems. Earning a BS in mechanical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1954, followed by postgraduate work at Syracuse University where he briefly taught as an instructor, the University of California at Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California, Mr. Losh is a certified professional manager through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
Mr. Losh served as secretary for Regina Properties, Inc., in Pasadena for 11 years between 1981 and 1992, while simultaneously the president of Milner Street, Inc. He formerly chaired the LA chapter of MIT's educational council for over 20 years and was a facilitator for the mathematics standards program for the LA Unified School District in the mid-1990s. Affiliated as a longstanding member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Losh is also a member and former board of directors of the MIT Alumni Association and member of the Pasadena Angels.
Recognized with a George Morgan Award from MIT's educational council in 1987, and named a Silver Knight of Management from the National Management Association in 1980, Mr. Losh has been highlighted in over 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World. His second wife Lorna Gail Gordon died in 2015. With two children from a previously marriage, he enjoys travelling. He has also long been a residential real estate investor, beginning when he first bought a three-unit apartment house at the age of 22. Real estate, Mr. Losh admitted, turned out to be even more fruitful than his career in engineering.
