Director of Human Resources for the City of Largo, Florida, for the past 15 years and Chief Negotiator for the City; currently on the Board of Directors of the Florida Labor Management Conference since 2011, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has been working in government for much of her career. Earning opportunities to work as Chief of Administration for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority for the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, she also served as Deputy Chief of Finance and Administration, a member of the management staff for the Illinois Department of Drivers' Services and Illinois Department of Public Aid in Chicago.
Blessed to have been able to serve in Chicago, Springfield, IL and now in Florida, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has enjoyed every moment of her public service. Ms. Hasen-Sinz holds a Master of Science Degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources from Loyola University, Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Her dedication to her career has also spilled into acting, having served as the lead/featured actress in "42nd Street", "Oklahoma", "Singing in the Rain" in Chicago Theatre and "A Day In Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine" winning the Best of Springfield Award. She also performed as a featured actress in the National Tour of "A Christmas Carol", in "A...My name is Still Alice", "The Dance Factory", and as a back-up singer for the "Kenny Rogers Christmas Tour" in Chicago. She has been a special event soloist in the City of Largo since 2006.
Locally, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has served as an Elder at Christ Church of Oak Brook, Illinois, where she also taught for many years; supporting the Childrens' and Youth Ministry. She continued this service in Florida at Heritage United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Florida. Regionally, Ms. Hasen-Sinz was a fellow in the Illinois Secretary of States Office, Springfield, IL under Jim Edgar, Vice Chairman of the Administration Committee of the International Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association, on the Board of Directors of Florida Health Insurance Trust Public Risk Management since 2013.
The recipient of a Miss Illinois scholarship and Miss Amity Award, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has been highlighted in close to 40 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Politics, Who's Who in Entertainment. Ms. Hasen-Sinz was named Outstanding Student of the University of Illinois and continues as a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association who honored her by naming her one of the Top 100 Seniors at the Champaign-Urbana Campus in 1986-1987. Ms. Hasen-Sinz remains active as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, previously serving on campus as president of the Standards Committee, Song Leader and Chaplain of Delta chapter. Notably, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has been married to her husband Mark Thomas Sinz since 1991, and is the proud mother of three daughters.
