A senior regulatory analyst at Frontier Communications since 2002, Ms. Romano is a tenured telecommunications industry specialist who spent the first 23 years of her career in Nevada, beginning in 1974 with a local company, and growing with them to a statewide organization affiliated with telecommunications giant Alltel.She gained experience with that company in such roles as a service representative, state business office supervisor, and state public relations coordinator. Through acquisition, she joined Citizens Communications in 1996 and relocated with them to CA in 1997, where the company conducts business as Frontier Communications. She served Frontier as a specialist of state governor affairs in regulatory compliance, before retiring at the end of 2017.
Ms. Romano acquired a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Nevada in 1974. Since that time, she has been an active writer and artist in her free time. She is a contributing author of "Fence Post to Fiber" in 1998 and "The Fifteenth Dame Lisbet Throckmorton Anthology" in 2010. She has also been involved with the citizens ambassador program with People to People International, was an officer and member of a small freedom committee in Elko, and prior member and treasurer of Frontier's Elk Grove Community Action Team. Furthermore, Ms. Romano has been an influential leader with several professional organizations, including the National Organization of Women, the American Association of University Women as editor of the Elko newsletter, vice president of programs and secretary, as well as Soroptimists International as treasurer, secretary, vice president and president.
Included in more than 30 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Media and Communication, and Who's Who of American Women, Ms. Romano received 5th Place in the genre category in the Writer's Digest 78th Annual Writing Competition in 2009, in addition to placements in state writing competitions in 2005 and 2006. She enjoys reading literature and nonfiction topics that include all facets of the human experience.
