Ms. Vaccaro has been a patron for several various arts organizations.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Vaccaro pursued an education at the University of Washington, completing coursework in 1959. From 1959 to 1961, she concluded her coursework at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to these accomplishments, Ms. Vaccaro enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952, serving to the rank of Corporal before her honorable discharge in 1955, marrying Nick Vaccaro at that time. In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Vaccaro has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She was presented with a Prize for Ceramic Monthly in 1970. Between 2006 and 2011, Ms. Vaccaro was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who of American Women.
Inspired to enter the field by her husband Nick Vaccaro, whom she met while in the U.S. Air Force, Ms. Vaccaro is most proud of the opportunity to create art for so many years. She is currently focusing on painting and exhibiting her work. Her husband was chair and previously taught at Kansas University and she still enjoys being around young people enjoying dancing and listening to music in her free time. Looking forward to the future, Ms. Vaccaro hopes to continue producing art and cementing her legacy while staying involved with the next generation of artists.
