In real estate for more than 3 decades, Ms. Eleazar currently is associated with Berkshire Hathaway New England Prime Properties in Newton Centre, MA as a licensed commercial, business and investment consultant. Ms. Eleazar also owns Sand and Sky Consulting, under which she does public speaking and publishes her poetry, essays and photography. She performs as a vocalist with the Newton Swing Band to continue developing her artistry in the performing arts.
Ms. Eleazar was born to an engineer, professor, head of a major government finance agency, banker and philanthropist father, with a large family in medicine, engineering, and finance. She attended the University of San Francisco for further studies in English Literature, and the University of the Philippines to take up a Masters Program in Linguistics. She received a BA in the Humanities and English from a top European-run private college. As a teacher in New York, California, and New Jersey, as well as at the International School in the Philippines she also produced and directed plays and musical programs.
She made the circuit in the greater Boston area with her mother, who was a classical pianist, writer and artist. They performed at various venues and special events that featured Ms. Eleazar accompanied by her mother, playing standards, Broadway, folk and popular songs. As a duo, they played for cultural events performing Filipino songs, and did gigs for special occasions for organizations that requested their music. Ms. Eleazar was part of an original folk pop band for more than 10 years as well, with musicians who transformed her poetry into lyrics to become their new original music. Being able to perform as a vocalist at the Tabernacle in Martha's Vineyard was one of the highlights of her career as an artist, as was having her poetry and photography published. One memorable thrilling night she performed for a political campaign headed by actor, Ed Asner, who gave her a very special gesture of appreciation. "I am still finding peace in my writing, music, poetry and photography," says Ms. Eleazar, who has survived through difficult periods in her life with her art.
In the field of administration for non-profit organizations such as the Appalachian Mountain Club, the Museum of Transportation, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Ms. Eleazar was hired to do public relations, liaison work for the Boston public schools, write PSAs and company newsletters, and to establish administrative procedures for newly opened offices where she ensured efficient operations. Ms. Eleazar attributes her success to her dedication to work and knowledge of the field. She is the recipient of an Ambassador Award in Real Estate. Ms. Eleazar seeks to experience continued growth in all that she undertakes.
