Longtime publishing company executive, Mr. Beeler has been primarily involved in creating and developing series of books, including reference books and large print books, as well as books for children and young adults. Currently a freelance writer and editor in New Hampshire, he has also been since 2004 the president and publisher of The Large Print Book Company, LLC, a publishing company that provides large print editions of the most read and most beloved books ever published. Some of Mr. Beeler's published books include large print editions of "Like Water for Chocolate," "At Home in Mitford" and the complete works of Jane Austen and Arthur Conan Doyle.
Mr. Beeler has worked for a number of great publishing companies over the years. He become interested in publishing in prep school, where he edited the school newspaper, literary magazine and yearbook. From 1965 to 1971, he was co-editor and business manager for The Little Magazine while earning degrees at Columbia University and working in the university library. In 1968 he was hired by the American Heritage Publishing Company, where he worked on their dictionary. He went on to serve as editor for the scholarly reprint publishers Garrett Press and Gregg Press, which was acquired by reference publisher G.K. Hall & Co. in Boston. At G.K. Hall he was promoted to executive editor and then served as company president from 1978 to 1991. He then established an American office and publishing program for U.K. publisher Chivers Press. In 1995 he founded Thomas T. Beeler Publisher, Inc. where he created large print and audiobook publishing programs. After a brief retirement he was hired in 2006 by Salmon Press and was appointed editor of the weekly community newspapers, the Granite State News and Carroll County Independent from 2007 to 2017.
