Dr. Floyd founded Sharp Eyes Optometry in Lewisville, TX, in 1993. Dr. Rosenberg became a partner in 2005. Now owned and operated by two brilliant therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrists and serving the Flower Mound, Lewisville and Carrollton areas, their private practice offers a wide range of services and eyewear products, including eye exams, testing for all ages, prescription and non-prescription glasses, sunglasses, and a large selection of eyewear frames and contact lenses.
A caring and compassionate eye doctor who takes great pride in providing excellent care to each of her patients, Dr. Floyd first graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, summa cum laude. She then attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she completed a Bachelor of Science in physiological optics, cum laude, in 1979, followed by a Doctor of Optometry, cum laude, in the School of Optometry in 1981. Dr. Floyd also completed an internship at the UAB Diabetes Hospital. She is a licensed optometrist in the State of Texas.
Prior to working in the Dallas, Texas area, as part of her training at UAB, Dr. Floyd was a clinician for the Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders at UAB Health System and was a clinician at the Diabetes Hospital of UAB Health System. For a brief time, she also spent a few years as a columnist in eye care for the Lewisville Daily Leader. A longtime member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), where Dr. Floyd received an Education Award for her work, she has also been affiliated with the Optometric Foundation, the Texas Optometric Association, and was president of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society during her college years. She is a volunteer at Heritage Farm museum, gardening on her days off of work.
