Prior to this appointment, she served in private practice with M. Elen P. Gajo, MD, PA and Associates from 1999 to 2013, director of the Lifestyle Solutions and Counseling Center from 2002 to 2003, the outpatient program manager for the Northwest Florida Counsel Alcohol and Drug Dependencies from 2000 to 2002, and as a private counselor with Destin Counseling from 1997 to 2002. Previously, Ms. Bolt-Rollins was a substance abuse coordinator at AltaCare from 1998 to 1999, an outpatient program director for Apogee from 1995 to 1997, and from the role of addiction counselor to program director at Twelve Oaks Recovery from 1989 to 1995.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Bolt-Rollins pursued an education at the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science in management studies. She concluded her studies at Troy State University, graduating with a Master of Science in counseling and human development. A licensed mental health counselor and addiction professional in the state of Florida, Ms. Bolt-Rollins was certified as a cognitive-behavioral therapist by the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists, a certified addiction specialist by the state of Florida, and a professional alcohol and drug counselor by the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium. She became a board certified interventionist in 2000.
Beyond her efforts within the field, Ms. Bolt-Rollins has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. A presenter-in-field, she has been a facilitator for the Intervention Project for Nurses since 1993. She has also specialized in court evaluations, DUI referrals, and human resources presentations on substance abuse in the workplace. Furthermore, Ms. Bolt-Rollins worked with the U.S. Navy as a substance abuse professional from 1987 to 1989, and facilitator from 1988 to 1989.
In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Bolt-Rollins remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She has maintained membership with the American Psychotherapy Association, National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists, Florida Counseling Association, Florida Mental Health Counselors Association and Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association. Likewise, Ms. Bolt-Rollins has been involved with the Gulf Coast Mental Health Counselors Association, American Counseling Association and American Mental Health Counselors Association. She will continue interests in PTSD and trauma with men and women.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Bolt-Rollins has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. In 2008, she was honored as an Outstanding Mental Health Professional. She has also been recognized as a diplomate and fellow of the American Psychotherapy Association.
