Prior to this appointment, Dr. Lee served as a senior researcher for the Agency for Defense Development from 1979 to 1992.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Lee pursued an education at Seoul National University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in 1977. He followed this accomplishment with a Master of Engineering in 1979 at the same institution, completing his studies with the school in 1989, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy.
Beyond his efforts within the field, Dr. Lee has contributed to numerous endeavors in his professional circles. He has previously held the role of visiting professor with San Diego State University in 2004 and 2010, and with the Technical University of Munich in 1993. Dr. Lee has found success as an author as well, having penned such scientific books as "Programmable Controllers Operation and Application," "Control System Engineering" and "Fuzzy Systems Theory and its Applications."
In addition to his primary trade, Dr. Lee remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained membership with the Institute of Controls, Robotics and Systems (ICROS), the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers, and the Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Lee has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his career, including a Teaching Award from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.
