Mr. Bunger began his career as a partner at Kurth & Bunger from 1969 to 1991.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Bunger pursued an education at Wartburg College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in history and business. He concluded his studies at the University of Iowa in 1966, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Beyond his efforts within the field, Mr. Bunger has contributed to numerous endeavors in his professional circles. Additionally, he has maintained membership with the Iowa Association for Justice and the Iowa State Bar Association. In addition to his primary trade, Mr. Bunger remains affiliated with various organizations in his community. He has served on the church council four times and as President twice. He has served on the board of directors, served as president, and is an honorary member of the Board for the I Club at the University of Iowa; and was voted an honorary letterman and Varsity Club member in 2004. Mr. Bunger was for 12 years the secretary of the Board of Directors for the Burlington Baseball Association, a minor league club. He held the position of president for the Bart Howard Foundation, Inc. from 2013 to 2018.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Bunger has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his career. In 2014, he was rated as an AV-Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. Furthermore, Mr. Bunger was previously presented with a Public Justice Award from the ITLA in 1998.
