A leading expert in the field, Dr. Tchah has been a professor in the department of pediatrics at Gachon University Gil Medical Center since 2001. In addition to his work in the field, he has written extensively for industry journals and magazines. His work has appeared in Pediatric Infection Vaccine; Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; the Korean Journal of Pediatrics; and Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. In 2017, he coauthored "Acute intoxication due to Wisteria floribunda seed in seven young children," which examined a gastrointestinal illness present in kindergarten students admitted to Gachon University Gil Medical Center. Dr. Tchah has also written several books on medical science from a biblical perspective, including "Bible and Medical Science," "Biblical Health," "Seeing the World through the Bible," and "Seeing the World through the Bible 2."
Dr. Tchah began his career as a student at Seoul National University, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in 1982. He then served as an intern at Seoul National University Hospital until 1986, and as a resident in the institution's Department of Pediatrics until 1989. He then joined Seoul National University Children's Hospital until 1990 as a clinical fellow in the division of pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. Dr. Tchah returned to his studies to earn a PhD in 1991.
In addition to holding a diploma from the Korean National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Tchah is board certified by the Korean Society of Pediatrics, the Korean Society of Emergency Medicine, the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. A former president of the Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, he received an award for Best Article of the Year from the organization in 2002. Dr. Tchah is a member of the Korean Society of Pediatrics, the Korean Society of Emergency Medicine and the Korean Society of Gastroenterology. In his free time, he enjoys reading.
