Dr. Huh has worked with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute since 1984 and as a nondestructive testing expert and lecturer with the International Atomic Energy Agency since 2001.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Huh has worked with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute since 1984 and as a nondestructive testing expert and lecturer with the International Atomic Energy Agency since 2001. In addition to his primary roles, he worked as a pre-service inspector for the Jordan Reactor for Training and Research in Jordan in 2016, where he was an installer in 2015, in technical cooperation as a nondestructive testing expert in Portugal in 2017, and as a consultant of training works and lecturer of nondestructive testing training in Vienna, Austria, in 2015.
Dr. Huh began him career in the military, serving in Korean augmentation to the United States Army from 1978 to 1981. He went on to study at Chungnam National Graduate School, where he earned a Doctor of Philosophy. A respected voice in the field, he has authored 110 theses and has registered 32 patents. He is a lifetime member of the Korean Nuclear Society, and an editorial director and lifetime member of the Korea Society for Nondestructive Testing. Dr. Huh holds a certification in ASNT Level III.
Attributing his success to his endless passion and effort in research and development, Dr. Huh has been recognized for his contributions throughout his career. The Transaction of the Korean Nuclear Society has given his a Poster Presentation Excellence Prize at both their autumn and spring meetings, he won a Minister of Science and Technology Award, and the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers gave him an Academic Award. A strong believer in the self-reliance and localization nuclear power brings, Dr. Huh is particularly proud of the work he did on the Jordan Research and Training Reactor and the Kijang Research Reactor in the Republic of Korea.
