An expert in inhomogeneous cosmology, Dr. Célérier is a retired physicist who continues to conduct research, particularly on the subject of black holes, gravitational waves and cosmology. Formerly employed with the Observatoire de Paris in Meudon, France, for 17 years until 2015, she also served as the general secretary for Team s.a. in Paris between 1976 and 1992. Some of Dr. Célérier's achievements during her tenure in physics have included research in proposals for the resolution of pending important problems in cosmology and research in collaboration of the development of scale relativity.
The co-author of "Structures in the Universe by Exact Methods: Formulation, Evolution, Interactions" in 2010 and the author of "Nox Irae" in 2013, Dr. Célérier has contributed multiple articles to professional journals as well. She also writes and publishes poetry. A lifetime member of the International Society of General Relativity and Gravitation and member of the Femmes et Sciences Association, aiming at promoting women in Science and Technology, a corresponding member of the European Academy of Science Arts and Letters and member of the French Poets Society. As a hobby, she is also a member of the Musique sur Mer Association for the promotion of lyric singing in Trouville-sur-Mer in Normandy, France.
Dr. Célérier has held a Diploma in Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris in Châtenay-Malabry since 1973 and a Doctor of Philosophy in theoretical physics from the Université Denis Diderot Paris VII since 1998. A licensed pilot, Dr. Célérier was initially inspired to get her license by her parents and especially by her mother who was an expert private pilot and the Vice President of the Women's Section of the Aéro-Club de France. Formerly married, she previously co-owned and/or developed several middle size companies in France with her husband at the time for 16 years. They also share four children. Notably, Dr. Célérier has been highlighted in approximately a dozen editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
