As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A neuroscientist and anesthesiologist, Dr. Roginski is currently an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology and critical care in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. First hired as an assistant professor in 2002, he has since taken on his new title in 2009. He has also been a staff anesthesiologist for the Philadelphia VA Medical Center since 2009.

He formerly taught at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the department of anesthesia for 11 years, where he discovered and mapped a pair of glutamate receptor-like genes in humans, which he and his colleagues have also found in rats and mice. Dr. Roginski continues to investigate the function of these genes and their role in neuroprotection and autism. He also spent a few years teaching as an instructor in the department of neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University.

Dr. Roginski's research has been supported with funding from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research, the American Cancer Society, the National Science Foundation, the Foundation for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Governor's Council on Autism.
