In this position, he conducts studies on the hybrid of Rhodeus uyekii, a temperate freshwater fish originating in regional inland rivers, and Rhodeus ocellatus, a small freshwater fish native to ponds in East Asia. Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Park pursued an education in the Republic of Korea, earning a Doctor of Philosophy designation.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Park has participated in numerous endeavors in his professional circles. As a leader in his industry, he currently holds a patent for an innovative hatching system. He has found success with his written works as well, having published over 37 papers with a focus on fish science. He has also contributed several articles to esteemed journals such as Development and Reproduction, the primary research journal in the field of developmental biology. Previously, Dr. Park completed service in the Republic of Korea Army.
In addition to his primary trade, Dr. Park remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including the Korean Society of Developmental Biology. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he was presented with the Minister's Prize from the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2012. Looking towards the future, Dr. Park hopes to continue cementing his status as a respected and hard-working figure in his present post.
