Notably, Ms. Lander is a fellow of the Medical Group Management Association, American College of Medical Practice Executives (MGMA-ACMPE) and she attributes much of her success to the mentorship she received from this society. Because of her passion for professional advancement, Ms. Lander attained certification as a medical practice executive in 1994. Her occupational development has also led her to serve as president for the Assembly of Oncology Hematology Administrators, as well as spending time as president and speaker for several other medical group management organizations.

Committed to remaining abreast of professional developments, Ms. Lander has maintained involvement with the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA-ACMPE) and has contributed to a variety of other medical organizations throughout her career in leadership and advisory capacities.
