HOUSTON, TX, July 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Nancy R. Conrad with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Conrad celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Conrad began honing her skills in artistic expression at an early age. In the second grade, she was selected to receive a full scholarship to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, which led her to focus on this area of study until high school. She then attended Randolph College, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art history. While completing her education, Ms. Conrad concentrated on Oriental art, specializing in the work of Japanese artists. Since that time, she has taught as an oil painting workshop instructor and as a digital photography workshop instructor at Mountain Brook School Foundation, as an art teacher at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and as a private studio art teacher. She also volunteered her time as an art consultant for the Spring Branch Independent School District.
Inspired by the landscapes of Montana and Texas, Ms. Conrad paints exclusively with oil on canvas. She is represented in the permanent collections of the El Paso Museum and her work was commissioned by the Methodist Herman Hospital in Sugarland, TX, as well as the Herman Hospital in Houston, Houston Medical Center, West Houston MD Anderson Hospital, Mellon Bank in Houston, BNSF, and the former Texas Commerce Bank, among others.
In recognition of her contributions to the world of fine art, Ms. Conrad was listed in 14 volumes of Art in America.
