Serving as a professor in the department of prosthodontics within the School of Dentistry at Kyungpook National University since 1985, he has continually proven his prowess in the field due to his unwavering dedication to his students and profession.
Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Cho was an instructor at Shinheung College from 1983 to 1984, a lecturer at Korea University College of Health Science from 1981 to 1983, and a lecturer at Shingu University in 1981. Alongside his primary endeavors, he served as a visiting professor in the biomaterials group within the department of handicapped research at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden from 1990 to 1991 and in 1993. Likewise, Dr. Cho held the position of Visiting Scholar in the School of Dentistry at Nippon Dental University in Japan in 1989.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Dr. Cho pursued a formal education at Seoul National University, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1981. He supplemented this knowledge with a Master of Science in Dentistry in prosthodontics and dental materials in 1984, also from Seoul National University. In 1987, Dr. Cho concluded his education at the university, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in prosthodontics and dental materials.
Among his notable achievements, Dr. Cho is most renowned for the patents he developed for titanium implants for artificial dental implantation surgery. In addition to his work in the field, he is also a prolific author, having contributed myriad articles to professional journals throughout his tenure. In an effort to remain aware of changes within the field, Dr. Cho maintains affiliation with the Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Korean Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Cho has been nominated as one of 'International Editorial Review Board' of Journal of Prosthodontics' in 2014.
In light of his exceptional accomplishments, Dr. Cho was selected for inclusion in the 27th edition of Who's Who in the World, published in 2009. Married to Ji Jyun Lee, he is also the proud father of two children, Hyunsung and Haesung. Looking toward the future, Dr. Cho intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
