Over the course of his career, Dr. Klegerman has conducted a plethora of research and honed his skills in the field through roles with Encyclopedia Britannica, Loyola University Medical Center, Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, the Institute of Tuberculosis Research, the University of Illinois and the Mid-Atlantic Biomedical Research Laboratory.
An expert in his field, Dr. Klegerman holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Philosophy from Loyola University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he affiliates himself with the American Association for Advancement of Science, the American Heart Association and the American Society for Microbiology. Utilizing his extensive knowledge, Dr. Klegerman has served as editor of "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology: Fundamentals and Essentials" and contributed to articles in the Journal of Laboratory Clinical Medicine, the Journal of Infectious Diseases and the Journal of Thrombosis Research, among many others.
In addition to obtaining a U.S. patent for a method of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin dispersal, Dr. Klegerman has also received patents for the discovery of mycobacterial glucan anti-cancer properties and the development of echogenic liposomes for diagnosis and therapy of atherosclerosis. For his excellence in the field, he has earned numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization in addition to features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
