Prior to starting in the field, he earned a Bachelor of Science (1963) and a Master of Science in physics (1965) from Holkar Science College, Indore, from Vikram University, Ujjain & Indore University, Indore respectively, (Madhya Pradesh), India as well as a Master of Technology in electrical engineering (1967) and Doctor of Philosophy (1970) from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, India. A fellow (from 2004 - ) through the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, New Delhi, India, he has maintained research interests in many areas over the years, including plasma communication electronics, stellar physics, noble metals & dipole-radiation from them-quantum aspect, Intrinsic Ge and Si semiconductors and polar water molecules, electron devices technology, the solar spectrum and the cosmic rays.
Alongside other scholars in the field, Dr. Nandedkar has contributed his extensive knowledge to articles in professional journals such as the International Journal of Electronics and the Physics Journal.
