PHILADELPHIA, PA, August 31, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Brooks has been working as an associate professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Temple University in Philadelphia since 1996. Prior to pursuing an education, Mr. Brooks immigrated to the United States in 1986. Dr. Brooks forged over a dozen unbroken strong chains of memberships of professional organizations covering the full spectrum of human activities (humanities, science, engineering, and technology) leading to a colossal two centuries of membership service ranging from professional member through senior member to fellow grade member and life member. The following are examples of such organizations: American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the International Society of Automation, World History Association, and Society for Philosophy in the Contemporary World. In 2007, Dr. Brooks was the vice chair of the Committee on Dissemination of Failure Information of the Council on Forensic Engineering of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Dr. Brooks achieved the following prestigious awards for recruiting the most professional members: "The Most Valuable Player" award in 2016 and 2017 from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and one award from the International Association for the Bridge and Structural Engineers in 2017. Dr. Brooks is the founding Captain of the Home Fire Preparation Campaign (HFPC) of the American Red Cross (ARC), South Eastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) Chapter, Philadelphia. During the past three years the tradition of the legacy of Dr. Brooks' motivation generated tremendous inspiration for more than 120 students to actively participate and gain invaluable experience in the preparation of saving the lives of the students' fellow citizens from home fires, the number one urban disaster of humanity. He achieved this as the Captain of the ARC with the help of the ARC, SEPA Chapter, Philadelphia.
Dr. Brooks' efforts helped the Temple University (TU) students to distinguish themselves from their peers elsewhere in the country in serving effectively their fellow citizens. In the US university history, the TU student performance ranks the highest representing a track record of years of service from a wide variety of classes. This was made possible due to the outstanding commitment and support of Dr. Brooks' sincere efforts.
Dr. Brooks has earned commendation letters from President Trump, President Obama, and President Clinton. These three commendation letters contain over 40 superlative qualifiers describing the specifics of his performance on humanitarian service, education, and transportation engineering covering a period of three decades.
