Prior to obtaining these roles, he was a partner with Dorsey & Whitney from 1968 to 2002. In addition to his work in the field, Mr. Boelter has been active in his community as a trustee of Gustavus Adolphus College, on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, and as a member of the Edina Country Club and the Minneapolis Athletic Club.
Mr. Boelter began his career as a student at Iowa State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering in 1965. After interviewing business leaders in his community, he learned that many had law degrees, and he decided that it would be wise to pursue the same. He joined the University of Iowa, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1968.
Mr. Boelter attributes much of his success to his mentors, including the founder of Kraus-Anderson Companies, Lloyd Engelsma, and Honeywell real estate head, Walt Schlarick. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his contributions, including having been named a Super Lawyer in the state of Minnesota and among the Best Lawyers in America. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America. Mr. Boelter enjoys landscape gardening, alpine skiing, golfing, and reading in his free time.
